Construction Manager Role - Food Manufacturing
Role Functions:
- Assisting in project management, on site management/supervision, quality control and safety oversight
- Change order review and RFI coordination with PM.
- Provide pre-construction and construction support:
- Scheduling, coordination between operations and Engineering team
- Field supervision, safety, QC, commissioning support, punchlist creation and closeout support.
- Manage project elements with limited supervision, direct work on site, coordinate with owner and facility staff, plan outages, develop daily reports, manage risk and change during construction, interpret drawings.
- Coordinate pre-job safety meetings
- Hot work permit support
- Collaborate with other project team members as necessary, including project managers, field superintendents, construction coordinators, and others.
- Participate in weekly planning session with contractor and subs
- Manage smaller projects such as coordination and installation of environmental monitoring system
- Role will work closely with the PM to discuss issues, activities, and support of PM needed
- Expected to work independently, but will have active support from the PM for critical issues and decision
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience within a Construction Manager Capacity
- GMP Experience (Highly regulated production environment)
- Strong Coommunication Skills
- Ability to manage onsite contractors
