Construction Superintendent

Our client is looking for a Superintendent with a minimum of 3 years of expertise in Glass and Glazing to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring substantial project experience, specifically in Storefront, Curtain Wall, Window Wall, and/or Metal Panel systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site activities for glass and glazing projects, including storefront, curtain wall, window wall, and metal panel systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure the project is progressing according to the schedule and design specifications.
• Coordinate daily activities of the workforce, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project flow and avoid delays.
• Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of site progress, daily reports, and material inventories.
• Ensure that safety protocols and regulations are being followed on-site at all times.
• Resolve issues and challenges that may arise during the construction process, providing solutions that maintain project timelines and quality.
• Communicate project updates to the project management team and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Oversee quality control to ensure that all work meets the required specifications, industry standards, and company expectations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality, and safety, making adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and subcontractors as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Glass and Glazing, with expertise in storefront, curtain wall, window wall, and/or metal panel systems.
• Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar leadership role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, best practices, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and technical drawings.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project needs.
• Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA certification and other relevant safety training is preferred.
