This role involves supervising Foremen and field crews, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with construction specifications and regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, including site preparation, concrete work, and heavy equipment operations.
- Ensure all work is performed according to project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Oversee and support Foremen and construction crews, ensuring productivity and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, address issues, and enforce safety compliance.
- Coordinate concrete pours, structural work, and material deliveries to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Implement and enforce OSHA, DOT, and site-specific safety regulations.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks with field crews.
- Investigate accidents, equipment failures, and site hazards, implementing corrective actions.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Foremen to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to resolve construction-related issues.
- Provide daily progress reports and updates on site conditions, workforce productivity, and challenges to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent or Senior Foreman.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial construction, concrete work, site logistics, and equipment operations.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
- Valid, unencumbered driver’s license required.
