Insurance Accountant with Insurance Experience Needed – Pleasanton, CA
An insurance office in Pleasanton, CA, is seeking an experienced Accountant with Independent Insurance agency experience.
- Position Details:
- Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Duration: Direct hire
- Workplace: Hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
- Pay: $85K – $110K (To qualify for 90k base salary , candidate MUST HAVE recent accounting experience with agency bill & EPIC!)

- Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Premium collection
- Journal entries
- Prepare P&L balance sheets, scan checks, and download statements.
- Track reconcile manage payments manage carrier downloads
- Reconciliation of agency commissions on direct-billed accounts
- Add agency direct billing accounts
- Workers’ Compensation commission reports and broker payments
- Report directly to the President and CFO
- Work closely with the office manager, other agency bookkeeper, account managers, and external CPA/Accountants
- Requirements:
- 5 recent years experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping within an insurance agency
- EPIC is preferred!
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong phone communication skills
Salary : $85,000 - $110,000
