Construction Manager – Commercial
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages all aspects of the field-related building processes for assigned projects and specific customer service responsibilities.
- Provides exceptional customer satisfaction and quality control.
- Develops consistent and predictable job schedules.
- Ensures timely management and quality completion of assigned construction/customer service responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL/DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knows and understands customer-specific building plans, standard features, specifications and customer-selected options.
- Ensures customer selections are installed as selected.
- Manages and drives project scheduling via software and approved process.
- Delivers projects that are 100 percent complete, clean and free of defects, on time and within budget.
- Manages inspection process and meets with building inspectors.
- Conducts daily project walks to ensure schedule adherence and quality of vendor workmanship.
- Maintains strict activity log with photos and job RFIs.
- Ensures compliance with plans and specifications as well as obtains all required inspections.
- Resolves site conflicts.
- Conducts site meetings with project manager, owner, interior designers, trade partners and suppliers.
- Maintains positive client relationships.
- Conducts and participates in turnover orientations, as required.
- Completes and documents warranty requests, per approved company process.
- Maintains strict OSHA standards for all work areas.
- Maintains updated redline plans every day.
- Performs detailed check of pre-drywall to confirm that all rough ins are placed per plan and specifications.
- Maintains clean and safe jobsite by communicating zero-tolerance jobsite policies with subcontractors.

Quality Communication:
The Commercial Construction Manager must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers. This includes a strong customer orientation and ability to adapt and respond to different personality types.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, the Commercial Construction Manager should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project as well as Procore and scheduling software.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in construction, business or related field and/or five years of construction experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
Formal OSHA training preferred
