Job Summary

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. Your primary role is to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. What You Do

  • Review project plans, including schedules, timelines, and resource allocation with Project Manager.
  • Work with Project Manager to coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
  • Work with Project Manager to establish project milestones and monitor progress against established timelines.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and forecasting.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to keep the project within budget constraints.
  • Review and approve expenditures, invoices, and change orders.
  • Lead and supervise construction teams, including subcontractors, site supervisors, and laborers.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, resolving conflicts or issues as they arise.
  • Ensure construction work meets quality standards and complies with relevant regulations and codes.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and address any deficiencies or issues.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the project.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures on the construction site.
  • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for workers to minimize accidents and injuries.
  • Address safety concerns promptly and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate project progress, milestones, and issues effectively to stakeholders through regular meetings, reports, and updates in Procore Daily Logs.
  • Address any concerns or inquiries from stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.

Who You Are

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Field Construction Manager.
  • Knowledge of construction sequence.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Procore or ability to learn.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, forward thinking, time management and attention to detail.
  • Experience delighting clients and team members with customer service.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in commercial construction.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management
  • General Contractor’s license or building license.
  • Other certifications in marine or healthcare related fields
