Position Available: Behavioral Health Clinician/Therapist
Join our eclectic team of behavioral health clinicians providing comprehensive residential and outpatient behavioral healthcare to clients in beautiful Seward, Alaska! At SeaView, we assess and treat individuals (adults, adolescents, and children), families, and couples struggling with a wide range of substance use disorders, psychiatric diagnoses, and emotional difficulties. Common concerns are, but not limited to: substance use, mood disorders, complex trauma histories, grief and loss processing, stress management, parent/child conflict, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, school/learning difficulties, etc.
Qualified candidates will be able to:
- Provide treatment to adults, adolescents, and children.
- Provide timely psychosocial assessment, treatment, and discharge planning services to clients.
- Demonstrate strong group therapy skills and experience.
- Effectively and routinely communicate with family members and collateral agencies about the client’s progress in treatment, discharge planning, and disposition.
- Be highly knowledgeable of available community resources and the behavioral health system as a whole.
- Participate in treatment team meetings to report progress in the treatment process for each client in their caseload.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and their families.
- Work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements: Master’s level clinical licensure or ability for immediate licensure in Alaska (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT) preferred. Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field required. Knowledge or specialized training in addressing trauma is preferred. Reliable, hard-working and have a sincere passion for the work we do. Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, pre-employment drug screening, background check and TB test.
SeaView offers a competitive salary/benefit structure with opportunities to gain hands-on experience across several different areas working with passionate team members in support of the mission. Benefits include employee medical/dental, retirement, and 3.6 weeks of vacation in your first year with incremental increases up to 7.2 weeks a year. SeaView also provides both individual and group clinical licensure supervision for our behavioral health providers who are working towards their post-master's clinical licenses. The most common licenses for therapists in Alaska are Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Both require 100 hours of clinical supervision. Market rates for licensure clinical supervision are $150-$200 and hour. At 100 hours, that is a $15,000 to $20,000 value – and our staff receive it as a free benefit.
