Currently our golf maintenance team is looking for an equipment technician.
Our golf maintenance team is at the forefront of who we are. They maintain the pristine condition of our Bruce Devlin designed award-winning course. That keeps our members returning year after year.
Job Responsibilities
- Keep all equipment in safe working conditions
- Inspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Check and change oil, fluids, and filters
- Replace hoses, belts, water pumps, batteries, etc.
- Adjust parking brakes, tire pressure and gas gauges
- Inspect radiators, water levels and antifreeze
- Repair or change flat tires
- Schedule equipment for service
- Keep accurate and detailed maintenance records for all equipment
- Perform mechanical repairs on a variety of 2 stroke, gasoline, and diesel-powered equipment
- Daily reel maintenance and scheduled sharpening/grinding
- Hydraulic and Electrical troubleshooting
- Assist grounds maintenance personnel with various duties on the golf course
Description of Physical Exertion and Working Conditions
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Employees are required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Employees are subject to cold and heat. Activities occur inside and outside
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in the use of mechanical tools
- Good judgement and reasoning skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Uses a variety of testing equipment such as amp meters, voltmeters, gauges, and diagnostic equipment to determine malfunctions and the need for repair
- Positive Attitude
- Self-Starter
- Valid driver's license
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work weekends
- Learn to operate equipment
