POSITION – Welder
JOB LOCATION – Brookfield, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM – DIRECT HIRE
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1ST SHIFT
STARTING PAY – Depends on Experience, $24

REQUIRED EDUCATION – HS Diploma/Vocational
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – At least 3 years of experience
Responsibilities
-
Welds components with welding equipment as specified by procedures, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, work orders, or oral instructions. Welds range from simple tacks to complex welds, performed in varying positions.

Positions and clamps work pieces together or assembles them in jig or fixtures.

Adjusts and monitors amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, as specified.

Measures dimensions, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators, or check fixture

Manually guides electrode or gun along the joint weld line, maintaining length of arc and travel speed to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle.

Visually examines and measures welds using weld gauges to determine weld
Qualifications
- Outstanding work history with strong attendance record
- Excellent references and positive attitude
- 3 years’ experience
