What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Maintenance position at SelecSource?
Maintain Plant in safe, normal operating condition. Electrical equipment to be maintained in safe optimum working conditions. Production down time due to electrical break downs minimized. Electrical work and machinery in compliance with relevant codes and regulations. Comply with Company policies and safety procedures. B. SPECIFIC TASKS: (Describe the tasks in as detailed steps as possible) 1. Be thoroughly knowledgeable of all production machinery and systems. 2. Ensure all work complies with all Company and Safety Policies and Procedures. 3. Ensure timely completion of jobs. 4. Inspect and test completed jobs for compliance to relevant codes and Plant Safety standards. 5. Report to Supervisor for work schedules. 6. Complete MP2 work orders assigned 7. Complete all tasks listed 8. Record all information 9. Return completed work order to Supervisor 10. Complete sanitation declarations when working on production equipment. 11. Inform Supervisor on progress of jobs, and breakdowns status. 12. Ensure electrical drawings are updated when necessary. 13. Train staff as and when directed. 14. Aids in ensuring correct and adequate parts are stocked for production equipment. 15. Design install and commission electrical installations. 16. Perform any other task as directed by the Supervisor. 17. Comply with Company policies and safety requirements 2 C. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1. Able to read, write and speak English 2. High School or equivalent experience 3. Able to lift 60lbs 4. Able to work any shift including overtime and/or weekends 5. Minimum of 5 years industrial electrical experience, working with production machinery 6. Must have sound knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC’s and VSD’s
