Locates and acquires new funding sources for Seneca Nation departments and programs by preparing grants and proposals. Provides administrative support for programs and proposal writing for Nation. Addresses needs of Seneca Nation as indicated by planning commission, council, and executives. Requires initiative, creativity, and punctuality in producing proposals
Job qualification
Bachelor’s degree and four years relevant experience. Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, have proven organizational and time management skills, and be able to balance numerous projects while creatively solving problems. Must have experience in proposal writing, budget preparation, and needs assessment; and be proficient in various computer software applications. Must have valid NYS Driver’s License, and be willing to travel and work evening and weekend hours when necessary. Knowledge of Seneca customs, traditions, and practices helpful; ability to work in diverse cultural environment required. Position is subject to pre-employment and random drug screens. Native preference.
