Incumbent with other members of the teaching team, will provide a quality education program for children. Attend and complete all required appropriate program workshops and training. Obtain certificate in emergency first aid and CPR for appropriate age level, CPS reporting requirements, and serving children with special needs training.
Job qualification
Associate’s Degree in early childhood education, child development or related field; two-year experience with young children. Basic understanding of developmentally appropriate practices within the early childhood setting. Knowledge of Seneca Culture preferred. Emotional stability, sense of humor, patience, and initiative. Ability to manage and relate to children with behavioral, learning, physical and medical problems. Knowledge of child development. Must have organizational skills, flexibility, problem analysis, and ability to follow directions. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to perform and follow Head Start Performance Standards. Must complete bus monitor training and participates in further educational training if requested.
