The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.
Serco-NA is seeking a motivated individual to provide programmatic support to one of our Team Submarine customers. Serco-NA has an opening for a Senior Administrative Support Analyst to support an active contract with the U.S. Navy in the Washington, DC area. Submarine experience is a plus.
In this role, you will:
- Provide support for PEO/ED weekly/bi-weekly meetings with PEO UWS program offices (notes, action items and tracking, program updates, etc.).
- Collect and collate Program Office inputs for RDA’s Bi-Weekly Update.
- Coordinate and prepare for upcoming travel and site visits for PEO and ED to include event summaries, meetings, agendas, briefings, etc.
- Assist in the development of the communication strategy, key messages, and briefing materials for Navy senior leaders for the purpose of making critical decisions on Navy’s investment strategy that support Navy’s designated missions and war fighting capability.
- Work across Navy PEO Staff and Program Office Branches; evaluate procurement profiles, summarize relevant information, and brief government client. Apply understanding of agencies’ mission, organizational interrelationships and priorities and consider the resource implications of decisions.
- Work independently and energetically in researching various Acquisition Topics and Documentation, DOD 5000, Other Transaction Authority acquisitions, and Milestone Requirements for various ACAT I, ACAT II, and ACAT III programs.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, a technical field, or a managerial discipline commensurate with additional, related experience.
- Five to seven years’ experience, plus two years supervisory experience.
- A current or active DoD Secret security clearance.
- An advanced level understanding of DoD and US Navy mission, purpose, function, and organization.
- Proficiency at open source and classified research and highly experienced at writing, editing and graphical presentation in the support of strategic and fiscal communication for senior Navy, DoD, Congressional and public/private sector audiences.
- A basic skillset using the Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to travel at least 10% of the time if needed.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- A minimum of ten years’ experience with DoD and US Navy programs and processes.
- Experience supporting the US Navy, or active-duty Navy experience.
- NAVSEA and/or Team Submarine experience is a significant plus.
