Experienced Ophthalmic Technician – Cataract Surgery Specialty

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their skills, enjoys working with cataract patients, and wants to be part of a practice where their experience is appreciated.
What You’ll Do
- Perform patient pre-testing, including:
- Autorefraction, keratometry, tonometry
- OCT, visual fields, corneal topography, and biometry (IOL calculations)
- Take accurate patient histories and document in the EMR
- Assist the physician during exams and minor procedures
- Prepare patients for cataract surgery consultations and post-op visits
- Educate patients on testing, procedures, and post-op instructions
- Help keep clinic flow running smoothly
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician (required)
- Cataract or surgical ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
- COA/COT/COMT certification is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable using ophthalmic equipment and EMR systems (Nextech)
- Friendly, professional attitude with patients and coworkers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced clinic
