Description
Join our dynamic team as a Process Engineer. The position adds value to the organization by systematically monitoring, reducing, and stabilizing internal scrap costs and maintaining a control system to ensure performance problems do not re-occur once they are eliminated. Position is responsible for the fabric finishing (tenter frame/oven) processes. Ensure setups are optimized, review scrap metrics, outline scrape issues, work with quality on field rejections and how they could translate back to the process. Outline new tools and technology to improve processes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor process metrics for scrap and create reaction plans to lower high scrap products.
- Work with maintenance and operators to ensure the equipment is in good working condition.
- Create capital expense projects to increase existing process capability and or process improvements. (error proofing tools, process monitoring, reaction limits).
- Actively participate in quality meetings. Work with quality group on how field rejections could trace back to the finishing process.
- Communicate with Lamination plants for direct feedback on process issues.
- Proactively work with R&D to review products before they are taken over by Manufacturing. (Acceptance criteria)
- Utilize existing Automated Vision inspection system for increased feedback on process metrics.

Requirements
- Four-year degree in Engineering.
- 1-5 years experience.
- Computer skills for entry/retrieval, spreadsheets, and word processing are also necessary.
- Textile experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of SPC and CAD.
