What You’ll Do As part of Individual Disability, you’ll be a primary driver of collaboration on project teams, influencing decision-making and actively engaging with business leaders, sponsors, and key stakeholders to ensure optimum business value delivery. You’ll use your leadership skills to facilitate cross-functional and cross-organizational team members in a matrixed-managed environment, delivering effective project communications, project schedule, budget and financial management, issue, and risk tracking, creating, and maintaining roadmaps and change management activities in accordance with quality standards. Flexibility to work Pacific time zone core hours of operation is required. Key Responsibilities As a project manager you’ll drive the design and development of business solutions by: · Utilizing project management methodology (Agile or Waterfall), plan and manage projects of varying complexity, priority and risk that focus on the design and development of business solutions. · Create and manage project plans, roadmaps, including resource forecasts, communications, training plans, stakeholder impact analysis, discovery and business cases, project scope, schedule, issues, and risks. · Use Prosci or similar change management strategy for small project and lean on organizational change management frameworks and activities for larger initiatives. · Interact and partner with Marketing, IT, business leaders and functional managers to stay aligned. · Apply business and technical knowledge to initiate corrective actions to ensure deliverables are produced on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. · Communicate, negotiate, facilitate, and collaborate in a wide variety of settings and projects that are complex, up to and including enterprise-wide assignments. · Develop vendor relationships for project and budget management. Traits of a Successful Candidate · Proven ability to run multiple complex projects and leverage fundamental PM knowledge such as execution, managing stakeholders and leadership to ensure the project is running smoothly and goals are being met, managing risk and any potential issues, and developing mitigation plans. · Proven ability to build and leverage relationships across the organization to meet project objectives. · Use skills as a seasoned, experienced professional that require in-depth conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline. · Exceptional communication skills, including tailoring messages to a variety of audiences and active listening. · Ability to establish and maintain credibility and strong rapport with leaders and key partners. · Must be able to work collaboratively with and through others. · Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal. · Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations. · Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges. · Acts as a resource for colleagues within the PM discipline. The Skills and Background You’ll Need · Education: College degree required. · Experience: A minimum of 5 years of related experience. Experience in change management and mitigating downstream impacts of projects. · Experience working in Waterfall or Agile methodologies is required. · PMP and Agile SAFe certifications are highly preferred. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year. Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
