SierTek Ltd. is seeking a Data Analyst to support an opportunity at the Wright Patterson AFB, OH (On-Site).

Position Overview

The 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, is the first human-centric warfare wing to consolidate human performance research, education and consultation under a single organization. Established under the Air Force Research Laboratory, the 711 HPW is comprised of the Airman Systems Directorate (RH) and the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM). The Wing delivers unparalleled capability to the Air Force through a combination of world class infrastructure and expertise of its diverse workforce of military, civilian and contractor personnel encompassing 75 occupational specialties including science and engineering, occupational health and safety, medical professions, technicians, educators, and business operations and support. 

Essential Job Functions 

• Assist in designing, formulating, conducting, and leading statistical analysis of epidemiological studies risk reduction of negative health outcomes affecting the USAF beneficiary population. Use judgement and originality in developing innovative approaches to define and resolve highly complex situations. 

• Assist in the management of the retrieval and integration of health information data, personnel records, deployment-related records, health surveillance registries, and other military-related data into usable format for end-users. 

• Draft reports, prepare, and/or present reports, documents, and/or presentations pertaining to the status of the research and data analysis as requested. 

• Present results of studies or investigations through briefings, technical reports, and publication into scientific journals. 

• Apply knowledge of science/technology to analyze and resolve multifaceted issues/problems with minimal guidance. Collaborate with technical area stakeholders to develop strategies for effective execution within a particular technology area. 

• Interface with USAFSAM/PHR leadership and staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Requirements

• Possess a PhD in Statistics or other similar degree as approved by USAFSAM/PHR.

• Possess advanced analytical skills in public health/epidemiology.

• Possess the ability to design, formulate, conduct, and lead statistical analysis of epidemiological studies on hearing conservation and risk reduction of negative health outcomes affecting the USAF beneficiary population.

• Be proficient in the following software programs: Microsoft Office, SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, and Adobe Acrobat.

• Be current in Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) training.

• Be current in Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training to be able to access and process identified medical data.

• The Contractor must have a Non-Disclosure Agreement in place with their company, and the company must provide a copy to the Program Manager of this task order. This is necessary to mitigate transfer of any confidential, proprietary and/or sensitive information while in this position.

• Ability to successfully pass a Tier I background check.

Highly Desired Qualifications.

• Five years’ experience within a public health related field

Salary : $74,800 - $94,700
