CAREER OPPORTUNITY:
Silgan Dispensing is seeking an Account Specialist to maintain strong customer profiles and product files for assigned accounts while establishing new customer relationships and reach deeper into their organization to help drive decision-making in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pro-actively engage with customers to better understand needs and challenges.
- Proactively work close with company manufacturing plants making recommendations based on customer requirements.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Commercial organization to drive sales revenue and increase customer satisfaction.
- Lead all post-sales efforts to ensure customer needs are met and their order experience is positive allowing Sales to focus on growth.
- Take a lead role and represent Sales by addressing operational solutions/issues at the site of the customer as needed.
- Be the voice of the customer and communicate relevant information / make recommendations to the appropriate functional areas / management to ensure the appropriate attention is given in a timely manner.
- Visit customers as needed to develop a partnership and strengthen the relationship.
- Perform all aspects of account management including order entry and progress oversight, forecasting, order trend analysis, order confirmation, contract management, specification review, inventory management, shipping, and invoicing
- Problem resolution including order management, recommendations to Operations that drive production schedules to meet customer needs, lead all post sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction, customer complaints and issues regarding quality, credit/ collections issues, export/import, freight, etc.
- Phones, e-mails, and follow-up. Perform all tasks leading to order which includes, but is not limited to: initiation of customer specifications, obtain and provide customers with drawings and spec sheets, initiate and follow up on color matches, follow up on lab requests.
- Manage quotes and follow up on them for the sales rep. CRM system management, Internet retrieval of customer specs, delivery schedules, advanced shipment notifications, etc., process inventory shipments, etc
