POSITION PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Director of Engineering is responsible for performing various maintenance functions that are necessary to lead the team that maintains and enhances the quality of the entire hotel. Performing and overseeing tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, masonry and electrical to an excellent level, this role works closely with other departments to ensure guests’ satisfaction. In addition to overseeing the maintenance team, this role is also responsible for the safety program at the hotel, including but not limited to, overseeing the hotel’s security needs. The Chief authorizes payroll for the department based on approved labor standards, stays within budgeted expenses, researches and contracts vendors and is responsible for the hiring, training and supervision of their team.
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
EXPERIENCE: Experience in hotel engineering operations, customer service required
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or its equivalent; college degree preferred, minimum 5 years physical hotel maintenance experience

COMPENSATION:
Starting wage is $80,000 per year
Wage Range is $80,000 - $85,000 per year and is based on tenure, applicable experience and work history.
