What are the responsibilities and job description for the Measurement Manager position at Silver Creek Midstream?
This position is responsible for analytical oversight of all aspects of crude oil measurement and product quality activities within the Company. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. In addition, he or she manages a team of 4 employees. Work closely with all Operations management to ensure accurate and consistent measurement of crude oil.
This position may reside in Irving, Texas or Douglas, Wyoming area.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of liquid hydrocarbon measurements within the Company, including custody transfer as well as leak detection and integrity metering
- Assist with maintaining and updating company measurement policies and programs.
- Initiate and lead measurement audits.
- Provide guidance to operations on preferred measurement equipment and proving instrumentation.
- Assist in training of Measurement Specialists and Operations team members.
- Assist with scheduled maintenance on measurement equipment and calibration of metering devices to assure proper quantity measurements for company and customers.
- Provide support and guidance for field level measurement personnel
- Maintain gain /loss reports and analyze data
- Maintain Company gains /losses within established company standards
- Ensure all measurement equipment within Company meets company and industry standards
- Ensure all measurement procedures in the field are being followed according to company and industry standards
- Provide cost effective solutions for measurement problems
- Monitor industry proposed measurement changes and latest technologies
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of equivalent work experience with strong background in investigating and reconciling loss/gain associated with petroleum measurement.
- Working knowledge of all measurement equipment and equipment verifications and calibrations.
- Must have a detailed understanding of API measurement standards and be familiar with PHMSA and OSHA regulations.
- Exhibits leadership qualities and shows economic decision-making capabilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to perform intermediate level math.
- Must have crude oil experience.
- Experience with Microsoft office suite with strong emphasis on Excel and/or other spreadsheet applications.
