We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruiter Intern to support our team in the Federal Staffing space. This role is ideal for someone who has prior exposure to staffing or recruitment (particularly in government or federal contracting environments) and is looking to gain deeper, hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will assist in sourcing, screening, and engaging candidates for positions within government agencies, departments, and federal organizations.
Responsibilities:- Assist in sourcing qualified candidates for federal staffing requirements through job boards, databases, social media, and networking.
- Support end-to-end recruitment activities including resume screening, interview coordination, and candidate follow-up.
- Maintain relationships with potential candidates to build a strong talent pipeline for federal staffing needs.
- Gain exposure to federal staffing compliance, hiring processes, and labor category requirements.
- Collaborate with senior recruiters and account managers to understand position requirements and match qualified candidates.
- Help prepare documentation, candidate summaries, and submission packages in compliance with federal contracting guidelines.
- Assist in tracking and updating candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Prior internship, coursework, or work experience in staffing, recruiting, or federal contracting (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn about federal staffing regulations, compliance, and procurement processes.
- Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
