Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Infoblox Engineer to join our team for a contract role based in Dallas, TX and Redmond, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI) solutions using Infoblox technologies. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in network infrastructure, DNS/DHCP administration, and Infoblox appliances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Infoblox DDI solutions across enterprise environments
- Configure and administer DNS and DHCP services using Infoblox Grid Manager
- Support the integration of Infoblox with existing network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve Infoblox-related issues and service disruptions
- Monitor performance and ensure high availability and reliability of DDI services
- Collaborate with security, network, and infrastructure teams to implement best practices
- Maintain documentation for DDI architecture, configurations, and processes
- Assist with DDI automation and scripting using APIs or tools like Ansible, Python, etc.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during maintenance windows
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in network engineering with at least 3 years focused on Infoblox
- Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) principles and protocols
- Hands-on experience with Infoblox Grid Manager, NIOS, and BloxOne
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and switching fundamentals
- Experience with DDI automation, scripting, and API integrations
- Solid understanding of security policies and compliance related to DNS/DHCP
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite from Day 1 in Dallas, TX or Redmond, WA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Infoblox Certified Network Professional (IBCP) or similar certifications
- Experience working in large enterprise or cloud/hybrid environments
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems
