What are the responsibilities and job description for the Local CDL B Delivery Driver (Hauppauge, NY; Long Island, NY) position at Skilled Trades Services?
We are seeking Class B Drivers to join our team! We are looking for drivers for who will start Training Immediately! Training is being held at the Queens NY location. Drivers will be compensated for travel and have the option of staying in the hotel for the week.
Driver shifts are Monday through Friday from 5AM until the job is done! Drivers will be making deliveries throughout New York!
This is for the delivery of raw material to mom and pops, grocery stores, bakeries and distribution centers(live unloads) Trucks have lift gates and drivers will utilize electric pallet jacks and 2 wheelers to unload product.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck
- Unload cargo
- Properly track and document activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Inspect truck before and after trip
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in truck driving
- Commercial driver's license
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong work ethic
