Host/Hostess/Cashier

Skillet’z Cafe is seeking a welcoming and organized Host/Hostess/Cashier to join our team! As the first person our guests meet, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive dining experience by providing a warm welcome, managing table seating, and handling guest payments. If you are friendly, attentive, and enjoy working in a lively atmosphere, this role is a perfect fit!

Requirements/Responsibilities
• Greet guests with a warm smile and provide excellent customer service • Manage the waitlist during peak hours and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently • Escort guests to their tables and present menus • Handle takeout orders and ensure accurate packaging and prompt delivery to customers • Process payments for dine-in and takeout guests, handling cash or card transactions accurately • Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and respond to guest inquiries about menu items or restaurant policies • Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station and entryway • Ensure guests have a positive experience from entry to exit, addressing any immediate needs or concerns • Collaborate with servers and other team members to ensure smooth service flow • Uphold Skillet’z Cafe standards for food safety, sanitation, and guest service Requirements: • Previous experience in a customer service or host/hostess role preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once • Ability to remain calm and friendly under pressure, especially during busy periods • Attention to detail for accurate order-taking and payment processing • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays • Positive attitude and a team player mindset If you’re a people-person with a knack for organization and enjoy being the friendly face that welcomes guests, we’d love to meet you!
