Job Description:
The Manhattan Active Configuration Specialist is responsible for configuring, implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS) solutions.
A warehouse application configurator is both a leader and a hands-on configurator with the ability to coach and lead multiple teams of application developers by example. This role requires strong supply chain domain experience, particularly with Manhattan WMS, and involves working in an agile environment to develop software solutions that meet client needs. The specialist will also engage in integration meetings and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Responsible for researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that support and enhance business and technologies strategies within the warehouse space. Identify risks and plans to mitigate risks, adherence to standards and best practices. Collaborates with others to create and document standards and patterns that can be leveraged for future re-use, and actively seek opportunities to leverage industry solutions for new business offerings and services.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end configuration of Manhattan Active WMS modules including receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and labor management.
• Translate business requirements into functional configurations and workflows.
• Customize RF workflows, user roles, labeling standards, and reporting tools.
• Provide hypercare support during go-live and post-implementation phases.
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Manhattan Active WMS.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in real-time with warehouse operations.
• Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes through system enhancements.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including configuration records, SOPs, training materials, and process flows.
• Train end-users and provide ongoing support to ensure system adoption and efficiency.
• Lead or support cross-functional projects involving WMS enhancements or new site rollouts.
• Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to align system capabilities with business goals.
• Configure and implement Manhattan WMS solutions including Labor Management and SCI Reporting.
• Troubleshoot and provide support for Manhattan solutions.
• Develop software solutions in an agile environment, including requirements definition and functional specification.
• Drive integration meetings to determine system requirements and specifications.
• Drive process and productivity improvements based on analysis of existing operations and system capabilities.
• Ensure alignment of customer and business process enhancement requests with the core system scope.
