The Phoenixoffice of SmithGroupis looking for aMechanical Engineering Internto join our team.
Working with us, you will:
- Work on integrated architecture and engineering project design teams.
- Assist in the design of HVAC, plumbing and/or fire protection systems in Revit 3D modeling software.
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations using Trane Trace and/or IESVE.
- Calculate pressure drop and static pressure for air and hydronic systems.
- Participate in design meetings.
- Receive mentorship from experienced engineers.
- Visit a construction site(s) and/or completed project sites.
An ideal candidate has:
- Completed at least their sophomore year or have graduate standing in an accredited mechanical or architectural engineering program by the time of the internship.
- Some experience with Revit, Trane Trace and/or IESVE, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $21.00 to $23.00 per hour, at the time of posting. You are eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 in a work week.
