What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender/Server position at Smoke & Sip Cigar Lounge?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for banquets and catering events
- Follow all company policies and procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with food handling and food service regulations in the industry
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
