Role Description:
In the role of Infrastructure Architect (internally known as, Infrastructure Architect), you will be part of the Infrastructure team. The Architect will utilize advanced analytic skills and experience in principals of design to define standards, solutions, and tools for systems and architecture. Completes design, specifications and hands-on implementation, as well as guidance for other IS teams to deliver applications and content to people. Performs design and implementation reviews, ensures compliance with Enterprise Architecture Models.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as an Infrastructure Architect will include:
- Designing and planning: Responsible for designing and planning the infrastructure and solutions. This includes analyzing business requirements and determining the appropriate hardware, software, and network components needed to meet those requirements.
- System Integration: Responsible for integrating various systems and components to create a cohesive, high-performance infrastructure that meets the needs of the organization.
- Capacity Planning: Assess current and future capacity needs, considering factors such as the growth of the business, the projected workload, and other factors, to ensure that the infrastructure can handle future growth.
- Security: Protects the information assets of the company, including intellectual property, personally identifiable information, and protected health information, against unauthorized alteration and/or disclosure by appropriately handling and transmitting information in accordance with Safety National policies.
- Performance Optimization: Partners with IT teams who are responsible for system performance to analyze issues and make adjustments to optimize the infrastructure's speed, reliability, and efficiency.
- BC/DR: Assists in the development and implementation of BC/DR plans to ensure business continuity in case of a disaster or outage.
- Budget Development and Cost Management: Contributes to the development and management of the IT budget, ensuring that the infrastructure is cost-effective.

Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of working experience in I.S. or related field
- Possess five or more approved certifications within job area.
Hands on experience in the design, implementation, and use of
- Microsoft Azure and Office 365
- Storage technologies (NetApp)
- Virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)
- Wired, wireless, and SD-WAN networking technologies (Cisco)
- Firewalls, Load Balancers, and Web Application Firewalls
- Core Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, GPO, DNS)
- Enterprise Backup and Recovery Technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written, analytical, problem solving and verbal communication skills.
- Prefer a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Infrastructure, 3 within their job focus area.
