What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Paralegal position at Snell & Wilmer L.L.P.?
Snell & Wilmer, one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the western United States, is currently seeking a full time Paralegal to join its Real Estate practice group. Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a large law firm.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare closing checklists and coordinate the closing process for various commercial real estate transactions
- Review and analysis of title and survey
- Assist in preparation of CC&Rs and homeowners association documents and assist in handling related subdivision matters
- Coordinate licensing and permitting matters including liquor licenses, tax licenses and operating permits
- Assist in preparation of various tax clearance applications, bulk transfer applications, tax exemption and reporting documents
- Coordinate due diligence for a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including, acquisitions and dispositions, borrowings, etc.
- Review and summarize title commitments and surveys. Work closely with title companies to clear title and obtain title policies
- Order, review and summarize UCC, judgment, tax and other lien searches
- Prepare and file a variety of documents, including, deeds, mortgages, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, etc.
- Prepare and distribute closing binders
- Assist with post-closing document control and follow up
Experience* and Qualifications*
- Baccalaureate degree and certificate from well-accredited paralegal training program, preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent, quality work-product to both attorneys and clients
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-start
- Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and to seek help when needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
