Standard Duties: - Performs expert level maintenance tasks and preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to observing devices in operation to locate the root cause of maintenance problems, dismantling devices to remove defective parts, examining parts to detect imperfections, adjustments of functional parts and control instruments, testing of devices to observe performance, performing tests of electrical circuitry and mechanical systems, repairing machining tools.
- Utilizes mechanical skills including maintaining HVAC systems, mechanical drive systems, lubrication, precision alignment, and working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Performs highly diversified duties to install production machines and facility equipment such as pipefitting, rigging, installing conduit, pulling wire, wire termination, and demolition of older machinery.
- Utilizes electrical skills including reading electrical schematics and power riser diagrams, working with complex control systems, troubleshooting motors, using standard electrical meters and specialty meters such as megohmmeters and other test equipment.
- Identifies and sources parts, supplies, and repair items as needed. Also finds alternative products to improve cost and/or reliability of the equipment.
- Performs independently per industry standards.
- Works with Maintenance Specialists and Supervisors to create a schedule to optimize preventative maintenance procedures.
- Work safely in a maintenance department within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Leads, drives and participates in continuous improvement activities – processes, results, and cost savings.
- Provides assistance and leadership to lesser experienced technicians.
- Troubleshoots and analyzes complex controls systems to resolve in-depth software, hardware, and configuration problems.
- Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observes trends and makes recommendations.
- Knowledge of electrical systems range from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-phase.
- Knowledge of medium voltage systems (over 480) preferred.
- Ability to train on day shift hours before reporting to designated shift; ability to work overtime as assigned.

Safety, Health and Physical Requirements: - Contribute to the development and implementation of site safety and health goals, objectives, rules and procedures. He/she will actively participate in the Safety Engagement program, as well as follow all EHS rules, procedures and policies.
- Stand for long periods of time, including during operation of stand-up lifts.
- Lifting shoulder high up to 40 lbs. repetitively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to assembly, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
- All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.
- Stepping up and down off PIT Equipment; walking long distances over extended periods.

Education: High School Diploma or GED Associate’s degree with a technical focus and 5 years related experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment, or 7 years of related experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment. Experience in predictive technologies, precision alignments, and general maintenance of applicable process equipment. Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and controls systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and performs repairs. Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as necessary. |
