Qualifications And Desired Experience
- Current Alaska Pharmacy Technician license required
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital, ambulatory clinic, or retail pharmacy settings
- Strong knowledge of drug names, pharmaceutical calculations, sterile compounding, hazardous drug handling, and pharmacy law
- Skilled in operating automated pharmacy systems and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff, multitask under interruptions, and respond quickly in emergencies
- Must have received a flu vaccination prior to start date
- Fingerprint clearance is necessary; travelers must schedule fingerprint appointments promptly upon acceptance to avoid delayed start dates.
