Division 8 Project Manager

Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee Division 8 (commercial doors, frames, and hardware) projects from submittal through closeout. This is a non-estimating role focused on execution, coordination, and customer service. The ideal candidate has strong working knowledge of Emullion software and at least 5 years of project management experience in the architectural openings industry.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Wixom, Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day project activities from post-award through completion.
• Create, review, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules using Emullion.
• Coordinate with general contractors, suppliers, and installers to ensure timely material delivery and installation.
• Monitor and maintain project documentation, including job correspondence and field coordination notes.
• Ensure product compliance with project specifications, fire/ADA codes, and industry standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers and field personnel on assigned projects.
• Manage punch lists, warranty issues, and project closeout documentation.
• Conduct job site visits and attend project meetings as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments including purchasing, logistics, and field operations.
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in Division 8 (doors, frames & hardware).
• Emullion software experience is required.
• Deep understanding of commercial doors, frames (hollow metal and wood), and architectural hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, hardware schedules, and shop drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiarity with project management tools such as Procore is a plus.
• AHC, DHC, or industry-related certifications (preferred, but not required).
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to local job sites as needed.
