Responsibilities
In this role, support the movement of material into and out of the warehouse to fulfill customer demand while maintaining accurate inventory. You will also package and ship material nationally and internationally in a timely and cost-effective manner. In addition, your responsibilities include:
- Receive incoming materials to maintain accurate inventory and keep materials available as needed. Includes verifying condition and accuracy of shipment, checking costs of overseas stock, updating paperwork, entering data, delivering material to QA or warehouse, notifying appropriate person of receipt.
- Help employees locate parts; issue parts to and receive parts from internal departments and record transactions in database to control movement of inventory and maintain accuracy.
- Place orders for assigned parts and services to meet production schedules, maintain desired inventory levels, and meet or reduce budgeted costs.
- Process RMA receiving to track flow of product.
- Dispose of scrap material and record transactions to make space in the warehouse for good inventory.
- Pull, package, ship, and track products accurately, cost effectively, and in a timely manner to international and domestic customers to maintain high customer service standards.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, analyze data to find root cause and report to appropriate department(s).
- Provide shipping quotes to provide the customer with the most accurate price.
As a Warehouse Associate, you are dependable and self-directed. You have strong communication skills, excel at problem solving, and are driven by deadlines. You are a team player who is focused on finding solutions and taking initiative. Your experience includes:
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- Two years of warehouse experience in a light manufacturing environment required.
- 2 years of Inventory control experience preferred.
- Use of an automated MRP system required.
- Previous forklift experience required; certification preferred.
- Experience with national and international shipping strongly preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs., climb and stoop on a regular basis, stand for 2-3 hours at a time.
- Good computer skills including database, internet, Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to details.
- Dependable and self-directed.
- Strong organizing and prioritizing skills.
- Effective telephone and in-person communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
