Soni is partnered with a leading Not-For-Profit organization, seeking a Senior Financial Reporting & Planning Analyst to support financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis efforts during a critical planning period. This role will work closely with senior finance leadership and serve as a key partner in preparing departmental budgets, financial reports, and grant-related analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly and departmental financial reports
- Support budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Research financial transactions to ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance
- Support grant fund tracking, distribution, and financial reporting
- Develop financial models to analyze increases, decreases, and trends
- Partner with non-finance stakeholders across multiple departments
- Assist in preparing financial information for senior leadership review
- Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or FP&A
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, reporting, analysis)
- Experience with month-end close processes
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Skills:
- Nonprofit accounting/finance experience
- Grant or fund accounting exposure
- Experience with Sage or similar ERP systems
- Familiarity with Form 990 and nonprofit financial reporting
Compensation: $35 - $45/ Hour
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
