Our client, a leading insurance and financial services provider, is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee claim file quality, providing feedback and coaching to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Mentor and guide employees to align their work with organizational goals and claims strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, client experience, and operational processes.
• Champion change initiatives, remove obstacles, and create conditions for team success.
• Manage workload volumes, staffing, and training needs to achieve productivity targets.
• Monitor ongoing work to ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and frameworks.
• Handle escalations and make sound decisions in line with company standards.
• Support employee career development through skill-building and progression opportunities.
• Hire, train, and coach claims staff to deliver strong results.
• Act as a subject matter expert on projects and initiatives.
• Ensure risks are effectively identified, monitored, and controlled in accordance with compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum of 4 years in a related field).
• At least 6 years of progressive experience in customer service, operations, military, or leadership roles, including 2 years in claims handling.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Proven leadership, initiative, and customer service expertise.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Background

• Current experience as a Claims Manager or Supervisor.
• 2 years managing complex auto liability and coverage decisions.
• 2 years handling physical damage claims.
• 2 years managing auto injury claims.
• Demonstrated success in coaching and developing claims adjusters for career growth.
• Military background or experience as a military spouse/domestic partner.
