Medical Assistant

Pay: $17.50-$18.50/hour
Medical Assistants do not work weekends, holidays, or evening hours.
At Black Stone Health you'll be a part of a team that includes a physiatrist, a doctor who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation, provides comprehensive consultation and management of outpatients with diverse physical rehabilitation needs. As a medical assistant you will be involved in using a variety of treatment methods in the prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of sports, spine, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Medical assistants in our clinic also help to improve the lives of patients suffering from pain through medical evaluation, treatment and management strategies characterized by excellence in patient services.
As a Medical Assistant your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in the clinical setting
- Data Entry
- Scribing
- Obtaining prior authorizations for medications and procedures
- Patient insurance verification
- Triage patient calls and concerns
- Assist with interventional procedures
