South Central Bank, Inc. is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of a Call Center Specialist at the Operations Center in Glasgow, KY. The position of Call Center Specialist is the first line of exceptional customer service for customers who call into the bank. Call Center Specialist duties will provide customers with answers to questions regarding DDA, Savings, basic Loan Inquiries, Loan Payments, Electronic Banking, Overdraft Services, Wire Transfers, Debit Cards, Telephone Banking, Verification of Deposits, and Large Dollar Return Items.
The minimum qualifications for the position are:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent. Work related experience should consist of a financial institution operations and/or customer service background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
- Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in deposit or loan operation activities, terminology and products and services.
- Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; word processing.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Basic math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
- Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Effective organizational, time management and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
In addition to the minimum requirements listed above, the qualifications listed below are generally preferred.
- 1-3 years experience in Customer Service
