Required Qualifications:
- At least two years experience work with young children
Preferred Skills:
- CDA, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in early childhood education
- Experience working with two year olds
- Knowledge of Project Approach and Reggio Emilia
- Exemplary communication skills with children, colleagues, and parents
- Ability to collaborate while maintaining a strong community approach to education, focusing on the whole child
- Proficiency in using technology for authentic assessments, parent communication, and newsletters
- Passion for developmentally appropriate practices
Responsibilities:
- Teachers implement Project Approach incorporating inquiry and provocations.
- The arts are a high priority as are writing, reading, math, science, engineering, technology, music, multiculturalism, fine and large motor skills.
- Teachers enjoy a strong community of colleagues, children, and parents who work collaboratively to ensure success for all students.
- Teachers gain skills and confidence working in a pleasant environment while sharing solid research based educational strategies in small group settings with children ages 2-3.
