Description: South Windsor Public Schools is seeking a part time Special Ed Clerk at Timothy Edwards Middle School. This position is classified as a nine and one-half (9.50) months, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week.
South Windsor is a diverse community of approximately 27,000 citizens and 5,100 public school students. The district values this diversity, and has worked to create a districtwide culture of equity and social consciousness. SWPS is comprised of four elementary schools, one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12), all of which cultivate and support culturally responsive classrooms and learning communities. The ongoing work of our teachers and staff includes the creation of enriching experiences that expand the depth of knowledge for students beyond today's classroom in order to produce graduates with the 21st century skills needed to make them college or career ready.

Qualifications: Applicants must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to handle confidential information and have knowledge in Google Suite, Microsoft Word and Excel. Job duties consist of clerical work, i.e., scheduling meetings, mailing of notices, coordinating and filing paperwork, etc. Familiarization with PowerSchool and CT-SEDS is a plus. Excellent communication skills are essential, as there is extensive contact with parents by telephone and/or email. Previous experience working in a school environment desired. Computer skills/typing test required (40 w.p.m.).
Salary: The entry rate is $21.34 per hour. Benefits are not offered.
