Position: Laundry Attendant
Reports to: Executive Housekeeper
Job Type: Full-Time
Southall is a premier destination bringing nature, produce and people together in a powerful and unique way. The Laundry Attendant will assure efficient retrieval, processing, and distribution of laundry in order to provide exceptional laundry/valet service to our internal and external guests.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the linen and terry of the resort is collected, cleaned and stored accurately and neatly.
- Pickup of soiled linen and terry from laundry chute with laundry cart and transporting to laundry facility
- Sorting of linen and terry for processing
- Assist in processing the linen and terry used throughout the resort
- Feed washed linen into ironer and fold neatly
- Assist with the cleaning and pressing of guest items upon request
- Quickly and efficiently deliver linen through the resort to public areas, guest floors, and guest rooms
Skills and Experience:
- 1-2 year of previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to deal with guest and team member concerns in a friendly and positive manner
- Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to understand and communicate with guests and team members; must have excellent telephone etiquette skills
- Considerable knowledge of computer systems for registration, reservations, financial and back-up systems
- Available to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays
- Must be able to walk, stand for prolonged periods as needed
Education:
- High School Diploma preferred.
