Job Description Summary
Provides supportive and selected patient care services as a part of the rehabilitation team. The tech performs tasks within the scope for training and laws governing the provision of each rehabilitation therapy service. Assumes all responsibilities of a Rehab Services Tech I and additional department duties. Assists with training new Rehab Services Techs.Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school degree or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years experience in the Rehab Services Department or completion of four-year degree in a pre-Physical Therapy field required. Prefer 2 years experience in an acute care hospital or rehab setting as a technician.
LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation.
SKILLS:
1. Able to pass proficiency checklist specific to the department to which assigned prior to promotion.
2. Able to complete and pass cross-training skills proficiency test.
3. Basic computer skills.
4. Basic knowledge of therapeutic modalities.
5. Proficient in skills check off.
