Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Department: Operating Room
Status: Full-Time - 40 hours/week
Shift: 8 Hour Days (Mon-Fri) Additional Call Hours

Certified Surgical Technologist II (CST/ST)
Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO
Department: Operating Room
Status: Full-Time - 40 hours/week
Shift: 8 Hour Days (Mon-Fri) Additional Call Hours
Qualifications
- Experience: Surgical technologist/scrub experience preferred.
- Required Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Successful completion of a postsecondary certificate or associate's degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Licensure: Surgical Technology Certification preferred. Non-licensed/certified candidates may be considered with applicable surgical technologist experience.
- Other: Must understand English both written and spoken, must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodation required by federal, state, or local law. Physical requirements/demands:
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
