Veterinary Dental Specialties - Seattle is hiring an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician. Candidates should have a passion for dentistry, anesthesia, and exceptional client and patient care. This position earns a competitive wage of $30 to $35 per hour depending on experience. A full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as long-term disability for full-time employees. Technical abilities and skills:
- The ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and to communicate to build relationships with colleagues and clients is required.
- The ability to deliver exceptional client and patient services.
- Induction, management, and recovery of anesthesia
- Knowledge of Fear Free techniques, and Fear Free certification is preferred. Access to certification will be provided if not already possessed.
- Knowledge of common medications, and filling medications
- Proficient in dental radiography and cone-beam CT (VetCat IQ) is preferred. If not possessed, training will be provided.
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Instrument and equipment sterilization and maintenance
- Experience with CubeX is advantageous.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- Two or more years of experience in the veterinary field performing the above duties. (Required)
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with the ability to become licensed in Washington State (Required)
- Able to perform moderately physically demanding work that requires a lot of lifting (up to 50 pounds), cleaning, and constant motion.
- Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.
