Veterinary Dental Specialties is seeking a skilled and professional Practice Manager to join our San Diego team. As the Practice Manager, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of our practice. We proudly serve our community with the best dental pet care possible. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the hospital
- Personnel management including recruiting, hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions including termination
- Hold regular staff meetings to keep staff informed, provide relevant training, and allow for team feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Create a positive environment where employees feel empowered and supported.
- Ensure team delivers quality and empathetic service to clients and patients.
- Ensures payroll is accurately completed and submitted for all hospital staff.
- Manages accounts receivable and cash on hand
- Develops and implements hospital policy, including DEA/Controlled Substances and OSHA compliance.
- Execute local marketing strategy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3 years of hospital management or Veterinary supervisory experience.
- RVT preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Capable of leading, managing, and coaching staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated competence in all aspects of staff management, including hiring and coaching.
- Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- A commitment to outstanding client service.
- Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
