Overview

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings/facilities to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations. Provide excellent service to the clients at all times.

Primary Responsibilities

• Crush all cardboards that the night crew has discarded during the night s production
• Empty all garbage cans within the warehouse facility
• Sweep up all debri in isles, walkways & pick modules
• Clean guard rails and pole barriers quarterly
• Run the scrubber on a daily basis to keep the dust down within the warehouse facility
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as instructed
• Manage recycle are: ensure proper sorting, collect, & deliver recyclables to area as needed
• Clean and sanitize trash cans & mop buckets quarterly and as needed
• Coordinate change out of clean rags, mop heads, rugs etc. with third party contractor weekly
• Clean and sanitize water dispensers
• Clean loading well daily
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms within the facility
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, and according to specifications
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include frequently sitting and operating a motor vehicle
• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs
