How You Contribute and Succeed
The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows Partnercare's service standards. You will be a part of the Clinical Care Team and engage our patients to develop lifelong well-being and health. The MA will prepare exam rooms, equipment and supplies needed prior / during patient examinations. Prepares patient for consultation, taking/documenting vital signs (temp, BP, HR, RR) etc. Schedule appointments for patients and is proficient in EMR process. We are seeking someone who is experienced in a medical office setting with the ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls while multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The MA will communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, vendors, physicians, coworkers, and regulatory agencies. Additionally, the MA will work directly with Physician and/or Office Manager on all aspects of practice operations and workflow
The right person for this role will delight in providing a great experience to the patient, will have a curious mind that always looks for a way to improve, and be compassionate for patients experiencing chronic and/or acute pain
We prefer at least two years of experience but are willing to train newer teammates with the right focus on patient care, service, and teamwork.
Education and Experience:
- Certificate of completion of a Medical Assistants course
- Previous work experience preferred.
- Current ACLS and/or CPR certification
- Orthopedic and Pain Management experience would be an asset.
