Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced and highly organized Granite Operations Manager to oversee daily production, fabrication, and installation operations in our stone facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment, understands the details of countertop fabrication, and can lead a team toward efficiency, quality, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the granite fabrication shop and installation teams
- Oversee scheduling, workflow, and production timelines to ensure on‑time project completion
- Maintain quality control standards for cutting, polishing, finishing, and installation
- Coordinate with sales staff to review job details, layouts, and customer expectations
- Monitor inventory of slabs, remnants, tools, and consumables
- Train, mentor, and supervise fabrication and installation crews
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements
- Communicate with customers, contractors, and vendors as needed
- Track productivity, manage budgets, and support overall operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Previous experience in granite, quartz, or stone fabrication operations required
- Strong leadership and team‑management skills
- Ability to read drawings, templates, and fabrication specifications
- Knowledge of CNC machines, bridge saws, polishers, and shop equipment
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Basic computer skills for scheduling, job tracking, and reporting
