The government sales department at Southern Tire Mart is responsible for managing sales operations and bids for the government market ( cities, schools, counties, military bases, etc.) We follow local purchasing regulations and state bidding guidelines, while also ensuring our customers are receiving a competitive bid from us. This is a detail-oriented job and our salesman rely on us to be accurate and concise.
Your job responsibility will include (but are not limited to): entering credits for various tire manufacturers, completing bids in a timely manner, following-up with bids you have already completed, communicating award statuses to our stores and applicable salesman, assisting stores with quotes, and answering any questions they have and completing vendor registrations for different government entities.
Must Haves: Excel, Adobe Acrobat, self-starter, able to prioritize project due dates, you must be a team player, be organized, able to communicate effectively, be a self-supporting problem-solver.
Nice to Haves: Associates or bachelor’s degree, accounting/balancing experience, other customer service experience
