Job Description
- The position will entail performing at a variety of levels. The person in this role should expect to cross-train in all areas such as payroll, A/R, A/P.
- Maintaining schedules of government reporting requirements, license renewals, sales tax issues research, etc.
- Maintaining loan amortization schedules and posting loan payment entries.
- Job costing and overhead allocation.
- Fixed asset record maintenance and depreciation reconciliations.
- Insurance reporting and accruals.
- Intercompany expense allocation and other intercompany transactions, etc.
- Sales tax reporting, property tax reporting and accruals.
Critical Skills, knowledge, and abilities
- 5 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping, or other related fields.
- Thorough understanding of the account equation.
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools.
- Detail and deadline oriented.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- SAP and/or Microsoft Dynamics are pluses.
- Excellent Microsoft excel skills and other data management skills.
- Payroll experience.
- Must have bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance - this is required!
