Unarmed Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding security protocols.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity.
• Utilize CCTV and surveillance systems to observe and report any suspicious behavior.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of premises to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns.
• Implement loss prevention strategies and conflict management techniques to mitigate risks.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
• Assist in the development of security policies and procedures to enhance overall safety.

Experience

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment and loss prevention techniques is an asset.
• Strong conflict management skills are essential for handling difficult situations effectively.
• A background in military service or related fields may be beneficial for this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

• 12 hour shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• On call
• Overnight shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
